I had been procrastinating about building a shop for my home for quite some time. I’ve spent about three years obsessing over stick-built, pole barns, and steel buildings. After all this time researching what the best decision was for our family, we decided to look at steel buildings.
After searching through multiple dealers we landed at garagebuildings.com. The website was great. We were able to design our building to exact specifications. My wife was greatly concerned about the curb appeal of the building. She didn’t want “an ugly hunk of steel” in her backyard.
We were able to add windows, roof pitch, angles above the big door, larger overhang, color-matched screws, and wainscoat paneling on the bottom. We couldn’t be more pleased with the way it came out.
Once we submitted our order, we were told it would be quite the wait with supply chain issues getting our building installed. The manufacturer ended up calling me for installation while I was out of town much earlier than anticipated, and they were willing to delay me until I got back in town. The next time they called I was out of town again, and just figured it would be best not to delay them anymore. The engineered plans were a piece of cake to submit to my city for pulling all the permits. I had no issues with the city’s compliance end with the paperwork supplied.
We set our install date, and the guys showed up at 6a.m and finished up the next night. The crew was super friendly and very respectful of our property, kids, and dogs.
Garage buildings also poured our monolithic slab for our building, and another 40 yards of concrete for a driveway after the building was in. I priced out concrete from 3 other local contractors, and garage buildings were slightly more competitive, and they had the experience of pouring the exact slab I needed for the building’s plans.
Overall we had a 5-star experience choosing garagebuildings.com and are very pleased with the outcome of our project.
